Band Workshop
Terms & Conditions
Charlie Tottman of 56 Shepherds Lane, Guildford, GU2 9SW,
hereinafter referred to as ‘The Teacher’
The participant of the ‘build a band’ workshop will hereinafter be referred to as ‘The Student’
It is agreed:
1.1 The teacher will provide ten workshop lessons lasting 1hr 30 minutes on the following dates:

1.2 The fee of £340.00 is due upon receipt of the invoice from the teacher and is payable in advance of the lessons commencing.
a) The fee is non-refundable and the full fee is payable regardless of how many workshop sessions the student is able to attend.
b) Where the student is unable to attend a workshop lesson, the teacher will make a reasonable attempt to provide details of what was covered in the workshop lesson and provide digital copies of the music notation and chord charts.
2. General
2.1 The Student is responsible for attending the arranged lesson as confirmed by the Teacher. Delays or interruptions (for which the Student is responsible) encroaching into this time will be considered as time provided.
2.2 Should a lesson be missed by the Teacher for whatever reason, the Teacher will either provide a replacement lesson at an agreed time or issue a credit note.
2.3 The Student agrees not to make unlawful photocopies of music.
2.4 The Student is responsible for informing the Teacher of any medical condition(s) which may affect the learning experience and interaction.
2.5 The Student and Teacher agree to comply with all applicable laws, statutes, regulations including in relation to confidentiality, privacy, and GDPR.
2.6 Should a lesson be missed by the Teacher for whatever reason, the Teacher will either provide a replacement lesson at an
agreed time or issue a credit note.
2.7 Extra lessons may be scheduled at any other time by mutual agreement and at a cost agreed between the Student and Teacher.
3. Space and Equipment
3.1 Materials supplied electronically by the Teacher remain the Intellectual Property of the Teacher.
3.2 The Student is responsible for the insurance of their own instrument and all equipment used by the Student.
3.3 The equipment used during the workshop sessions is property of Silent Hill Studios. Any damage to equipment due to misuse will be the responsibility of The Student.

5. Safeguarding
5.1 The Teacher and any additional teachers who assist in delivery of the workshop hold a current DBS certificate. They recognise the importance of safeguarding and their responsibility to ensure the safety of vulnerable adults. They agree to comply with the Musician Union’s safeguarding advice in relation to instrumental group music teaching. Current advice is available on the MU’s website.
